Peggy Lois Rippeon's Obituary
Peggy Lois Rippeon, 83, of Thurmont, Maryland, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 19th, 2024 at home with her family by her side after a long battle with health issues.
She was born to Frances (Jack) and Mildred Withrow on October 9, 1940, in West Virginia.
She was a homemaker and worked with her husband in the family business. She was a member at Calvary Assembly of God in Walkersville and served as a leader in the Women’s Ministry.
Her favorite “to do” of all time was to spend time with family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband George Rippeon of 68 years; her children: Kenny (Cheryl) Rippeon, Tom (Brenda) Rippeon, Ricky (Charlene) Rippeon, Cheryl (Jim) Bales, Trisha (Tony) Norwood, and Lisa (Howard) Edwards; 26 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and 2 great granchildren on the way. She is also survived by her sisters: Joyce King, Delores Mullican (Scott Lucas), Jackie (Richard) Reavis, and a half brother David (Karen) Myrick, and in addition to several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews, and special friends Patty Milstead and Shirley Norwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frederick Hospice.
A special thanks to Dr. Bazzi and his staff, Frederick Primary Care in Woodsboro and Hospice.
We are blessed and very thankful to be surrounded by family and friends in the last weeks who provided meals, comfort, and visits.
