Pauline W. "Polly" Murphy , 95, of Frederick, passed from this life on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Frederick Health & Rehab Center in Frederick, MD. a Born on December 24, 1923, in Libertytown, she was the daughter of the late Edna Summers Waltz. a In her younger years she worked in the aircraft assembly industry. a She bowled in a league at Village Lanes, loved to read, dance, enjoyed baking and doing word puzzles; but most of all treasured her time with her family. a Surviving are two daughters: Patricia Zern of Georgia and Pamela K. Hemus of Frederick; four grandchildren: Leidy Zern and wife Kelly, Lindsay Roski and husband Alex, Josh Hemus and wife Mary and Deanna Hemus; two great grandchildren: Natalie and Catherine Zern. Polly was preceded in death by her siblings ; Norman "Bob" Waltz, Mary Myers and Glenn Waltz. a The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 10, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. a A celebration of Polly's life journey will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 11, at Frederick Alliance Church, 1631 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick with Rev. Mike Henning officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. a Memorial donations may be made to Walkersville United Methodist Church, 22 Main St., Walkersville, MD 21792 (Walkersvilleumc.org) or the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
