Obituary
Mr. Paul Edward Lippy, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on June 18, 2016 at Glade Valley Center in Walkersville. He was the husband of the late Shirley Lippy, who passed in 2012. Born in Good Intent, MD, Paul was the son of the late Mildred and Orville Lippy. He was a carpenter by trade, and worked for Glenn Eaves as well as Ausherman Construction over three decades. Mr. Lippy enjoyed gardening and he loved sharing the crops he grew. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and a longtime member of the Union Bridge Church of the Brethren. Mr. Lippy is survived by a daughter, Ann Shelton & husband Ray; a son, Todd Lippy & wife Rebecca; a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Lippy; five grandchildren, Ashley, Susan, Amber, Autumn, and Michael; three great-grandchildren; a nephew, Dwayne Lippy & wife Bonnie; a niece, Carolyn Knight & husband Roger; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Lippy was preceded in death by a son, Carroll L. Lippy, his brother, Alvoye Lippy, and his sister, Genevieve Weller. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, June 21st at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick. The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon, with procession by foot to the gravesite at Resthaven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
