To My Friend, Paul
Since 1974… wow, where did the time go? It feels like yesterday when I first walked into that Jr. High School, the new kid fresh off the boat, feeling like a fish out of water. And there you were, Paul. The first hand of friendship extended to me in this new, overwhelming world. I will never forget that simple kindness—it meant more than you could have ever known.
From that moment on, we had a front-row seat to each other’s lives. So many years filled with laughter, adventures, goofy inside jokes no one else could understand, and conversations that stretched long into the night about life, dreams, and sometimes absolute nonsense (which, let’s be honest, was half the fun).
You weren’t just my first friend in America—you became my brother by choice. Through all the changes, through decades of life’s unpredictable twists and turns, we always found our way back to that same easy connection, that same shared history.
Now, as I say goodbye, I choose to remember your infectious smile, your warm heart, and your uncanny ability to make people feel welcome and loved. You made life brighter, my friend.
I will carry your memory with me always, Paul. The world feels a little dimmer without you, but I know heaven just got a lot livelier.
Rest easy, buddy. Until we meet again.
With love,
Steuart
To always always put a smile on your face and try to make everyone around you as happy as he was. He always had a way to lighten the mood, always had a great ear for listening, truly a very caring person. He will be greatly missed.
Ahhhhh….we were kids, we laughed, we ran, we didn’t have a care in the world. Now, so many years later, you again no longer have a care in the world. I loved ya cousin (2nd cousin) but we were still family. Our bond will never be broken. We will take care of your Mary. 💓. Rest easy funny man.
