Patricia "Pat" Yee's Obituary
Patricia (Pat) P. Yee, 88, of Braddock Heights, MD, passed away on November 25, 2025. She was predeceased by the love of her life, George S. Yee, with whom she is now reunited.
Born May 22, 1937, in Albertville, AL. Pat was the daughter of the late Daisy and Willis Payne. Pat graduated from Albertville High School. Pat married George in August of 1959, and shortly afterward moved to Maryland where they started a family.
Pat was a devoted wife to George and mother to her two sons and still found time to be involved in the local community. She was active in Scouting, the Braddock Heights Community Association, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Braddock Heights Fire Company, teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible school at the Frederick Church of Christ and volunteered at various organizations supporting children with special needs. After raising her family, she spent many years as the museum curator of the Barbara Fritchie House in downtown Frederick, MD.
An avid collector alongside her husband George, Pat was well known among Frederick-area auctioneers. She loved traveling in their vintage Mustangs, spending winters in Florida and summers on Cape Cod, often exploring flea markets, antique stores, and yard sales along the way. She also enjoyed reading, watching wildlife from the front porch, cheering for the University of Alabama football team, and tending her garden. She enjoyed visits from her friends and neighbors and most cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, John David (Jody) Yee & wife Elizabeth Ann and Kenneth Staples Yee & wife Tamiko Lee; four grandchildren, Courtney Elizabeth Radosevich & husband Jason, Mackenzie Rae Cole & husband Tyler, Bethany Renee Yee and Joshua Richard Yee; two great-granddaughters, Charlie Layne and Reagan Marie; and one great-grandson Jacob Ezra. She was preceded in death by a brother David Buford and sister Barbara Ann.
A private memorial service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
