Patricia Ann Wright's Obituary
Patricia Ann Wright passed on Thursday, Sept 28th, after an extended illness.
Patricia was born on October 5th, 1951, in Washington DC to Carl B. Edelin Sr. and Anna Mills Edelin.
Pat is survived by her devoted husband of over 50 years, Lonnie Ray Wright Jr. She is also survived by her 4 loving daughters Anna Hess (Joseph); Sara Payne (Jason), Lonetta Wright (Jason Hurley) and Lisa Wright (Alex Wisniewski).
In addition to her husband and children, Patricia is survived by her grandchildren Natalie, Molly and Adele Hess; Joshua Payne; and Kayla and Carson Hurley. She will also be missed by her dog Choochoo.
Patricia had a very interesting life, having worked in the mortgage industry for 30+ years. She started with Rexford Mortgage. Then she moved to Standard Federal, which merged into First Nationwide Mortgage. She was very proud of working with all her daughters there, even when it was acquired by CitiGroup. She also was employed by her daughters’ school when they were younger and enjoyed serving the students at Liberty Elementary School. When Patricia was younger, she lived in Ocean City, MD and worked for the Ocean City Police Department.
Patricia had many interests in life. She enjoyed camping, fishing and boating. Patricia’s favorite places to visit were Lake Anna, VA, Raystown Lake in PA, and Myrtle Beach, SC. She and Lonnie would spend the day on the lake on their Pontoon boat, then relax for the evening by the campfire. She also loved playing slot machines. In the summer, Patricia loved eating crabs, and, in the fall, she always got excited for Halloween camping and Trick or Treating. Above all, Patricia’s favorite thing was spending time with the love of her life, Lonnie, and enjoying the life they built together.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9th at 11am at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc, located at 9501 B Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701. Interment will follow the service. There will be a wake at a TBD location. The website will be updated.
