Mrs. Patricia Ann Esworthy's Obituary
Patricia Ann Esworthy, beloved wife of John Esworthy Jr, passed away on Monday June 10, 2024, at home surrounded by her family after a lengthy fight against Alzheimer’s. She was born in Frederick MD, to the late Charles Tobery, Sr. and Edna Hood Tobery.
Patricia graduated in 1968 from Frederick High School. She took great pride in her career as a bus driver. She drove a school bus for Frederick County Public Schools for 37 years. She truly enjoyed her responsibility of safely transporting her special education students; she treated them like family.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Esworthy, Jr., her only daughter, Laura Ann Esworthy (Chris Shriner) and one grandson Ryan Segal; one brother Charles Tobery, Jr. (Robyn Tobery) and two nieces, Amanda and Alicia. She is also survived by her cousin Holly Stottlemyer (Dennis Stottlemyer)
and family; Sister-in-law Pam Haislip (Chuck) and brother-in-law Keith Snoots (Marie). She leaves to mourn numerous extended members of the family, too many to list.
We would like to thank Edenton Home Care & Hospice (special caregiver Dee), for all of their patience and kindness shown to Patricia.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501
Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701. The visitation will be 11am to 12pm, service to
immediately follow at 12pm.
