Nancy Rippeon's Obituary
Nancy "Nan" Rippeon, 89, of Frederick, passed away on March 1, 2025 at Frederick Health Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on October 15, 1935 in Mountaindale, Maryland to the late Paul W. Stull and Catherine Hamerick Stull. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Rippeon, to whom she was married for 49 years.
Nan worked at Urbana Exxon for her daughter and son-in-law for many years. Her most cherished position was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Nan enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales. She was also a fan of professional wrestling and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles, especially during the Cal Ripken, Jr. era.
Nan is survived by four daughters and two sons: Kitty Hilton, Linda Hill, Becky Colunga (James), Vicki Rippeon (Robert), Danny Rippeon (Tammy), and Kevin Rippeon (Jean); grandchildren Cassie Hilton, Jamie Colunga, Danny Rippeon (Amber), Joe Ray (Mary), Jason Rippeon, Keri Hill, Krista Hill, Jonathan Rippeon (Jennifer), Jeff Krumrine (Ashley), Dalton Rippeon, and Bailee Rippeon; Eight great-grandchildren: Haedin, Bryce, Jolee, Sawyer, Camden, Caylee, Charlotte, and Channing.
Nancy was preceded in death by two son-in-laws, Rick Hilton and Scott Hill.
Services will be Tuesday, March 11 at Resthaven Funeral Home. The viewing will be from 11-12 and the funeral service will be from 12-1. The internment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
