Mrs. Nancy Jean Harley, 79, of Frederick, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2021. She was the wife of the late Robert Harley, who passed on July 15, 2020.
Born August 21, 1941 in Frederick, Nancy was the daughter of the late Floyd and Helen Kreh. She worked for Frederick County Public Schools as a special education teacher. Nancy loved beaches and swimming in any kind of water. She especially loved crabs, seafood, flowers and gardening. Being gregarious, she and Robert would throw big New Year’s Eve parties. She also loved all things Christmas. She especially loved ice cream sundaes and also became fond of online shopping. She will be sorely missed by QVC.
Mrs. Harley is survived by three children, Timothy Harley & wife Cindy, Michael E. Harley & wife Linda, and Cyndi M. Harley; grandchildren, Robert Harley, and Michael G. Harley; a great-granddaughter, Lily Winn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 1 – 2 PM on Saturday, March 13th at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Community Center, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy. in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, COVID precautions being observed. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens; floral tributes are welcome.
