Nancy Eileen Grossnickle nee Mount's Obituary
On April 5, 2023, Nancy went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus, and her parents in the heavenly mansion. She passed peacefully at her home in Hagerstown MD after battling numerous health conditions.
Born the fifth daughter of James Windsor Mount and Nelva Ridgley Mount on January 7, 1961, Nancy leaves behind four sisters; Connie Pennington (Ronnie), Barbara Kegley-Koger (Jeff), Janet Martin (Barry pre-deceased) and Doris Molina (Fabio), two children; Jeremiah James Grossnickle (Katie) and Nelva Kimberly Grossnickle (Melvin Dorsey partner) and five precious grandchildren; Bentley James Grossnickle, Amie Lee Hill, Braven Cole Hill, Chloe Joy Dorsey, and David Anthony Dorsey.
Nancy appreciated all living creatures and was implemental in capturing and re-homing many stray cats from her community. She was the proud ‘human’ chosen by cats Pixie, Lily, and Simba. She was a good listener and if she felt someone was being treated unjustly, would speak up on their behalf.
Family and friends are invited to attend a life celebration on April 28 from 6-9 pm and a graveside service on April 29 at 1 pm. Both take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens (9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Rt 15 North, Frederick, MD).
