Obituary
Mrs. Muriel Wilder of Mt. Airy, in keeping with her wishes, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2015 at home, after celebrating her 86th birthday on May 23. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond E Wilder in 1992. For many years Muriel worked as a registered nurse at Carroll County Hospital. Her free time was spent sewing, bowling and watching the Orioles. Both U S Navy veterans, she and her husband were active in the American Legion Post 191 until his death. She is survived by her son Bruce Wilder, his wife Cat, from Durham CT, daughters Nancy Douglass, Baltimore and Kathy Wilder, Mt Airy, three grandchildren, Adam Douglass, his wife Lindsey, of Baltimore, Katie Wilder, Glen Rock PA, and Audrey Douglass, Richmond VA, and one great grandson, Clark DouglassThe family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, June 29, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. Mt. Airy where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 30, with Rev. Art Monroe officiating. Interment will take place in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice . Arrangements are by Stauffer Funeral Home, Mt. Airy.
