Michael W. Rinn's Obituary
Michael W. Rinn, lovingly known as Mike, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on July 1, 2025.
Born in Hagerstown in 1957 to William and Betty Lou (Sinn) Rinn, Mike was a lifelong resident whose spirit and humor left an impression on everyone he met. He graduated from South Hagerstown High and earned his degree in business, setting the foundation for a career defined by dedication and connection.
For over 20 years, Mike worked as a Service Representative at Fitzgerald Auto Mall, where his kindness and professionalism made him a favorite among coworkers and customers alike. A man of many talents, he also pursued professional photography and traveled the country as a sales representative for a national bicycle company—two paths that let him merge artistry with adventure.
Mike's passions painted a vivid portrait of a life well-loved: from off-road motorcycling and afternoons at the Hagerstown Airport with his pilot father, to the salty breeze of Cape May's beaches and nature walks. He filled his days with music and concerts, the wonder of rocket launches with his good friend George, and the aroma of perfectly brewed coffee—though it had to meet his high standards.
He challenged himself daily with word puzzles, entertained those around him with delightfully dumb puns, and found true companionship in his beloved cat, Lottie. His sharp wit, generous heart, and love for life’s little pleasures made him unforgettable.
“Your memory is my keepsake,
With which we’ll never part.
God has you in His keeping,
I have you in my heart.”
Mike’s presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
