Obituary
Mr. Michael James Locantore, 56, of Hedgesville, WV and formerly of Pasadena, MD, passed away on July 17, 2022 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a 2 ½-year battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Anita Locantore, his wife of nearly 23 years.
Born January 8, 1966 in Washington, DC, Mike was the son of Ferdinand Locantore of Golden Beach, MD and the late Jean Locantore. Mike grew up in Lanham, MD and graduated from Dematha High School. He started with PEPCO in 1989 and worked as a Transmission Systems Operator until illness forced his retirement. Mike loved fireworks, travelling, and feeding deer. He was an avid waterfowl hunter and fisherman, and a Coors Light aficionado.
In addition to his loving wife and father, Mike is survived by his sister, Linda Macpherson & husband Bruce; children, Allan, Amber, Nicole and Vinny; grandchildren, Taylor, Gracie, Brooke and Landon; a nephew, Bradley Macpherson, his dogs, and many cousins, friends and other relatives. In addition to his mother, Mike was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Wrightson.
A Celebration of Life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please make donations toward cancer research.
