Michael William Houston's Obituary
In his short time here on Earth, Michael Houston made a great impact on his family and friends’ lives. Michael was so well-versed that he was able to form a connection with everyone he met. As a hair stylist at Bad Hair Day (Rehoboth Beach, DE) and Steven Anthony Salon (Rockville, MD) he used that ability to create relationships with hundreds of people.
When Michael was not having fun with friends and clients, he loved spending time with his family. He began dating his wife, Karen, in April 1985, and they married on February 13, 1993. They enjoyed going out to dinner, restoring furniture, and gardening. He is survived by his two sons, David (wife DeAnna) and Matthew. They all shared a love for music and spent many nights creating and playing music. Michael also adored his grandsons, Dominick, Kaiden, and Micah. You could always find him playing outside with them or squeezing them to the point of laughter.
Michael was the son of Wayne and the late Charlene, and brother to Robert. Michael loved visiting them in Indiana. They would all spend time camping, playing cornhole, and relaxing in the garage, while listening to music. Michael especially enjoyed restoring cars with his father and brother.
To celebrate Michael’s life, services will be held at Coffman Chapel (Located at Hood College - 521 Coffman Chapel Dr, Frederick, MD 21701) on Sunday, February 5 at 12:00PM. Reception to follow. Relatives and friends are welcome.
Michael was passionate about the environment and wanted to leave a positive impact. He even had a recycling symbol tattooed on his back. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ocean Conservancy. https://oceanconservancy.org/
