Obituary
Michael Dobrosky of Sunrise Senior Living of Frederick, Md. Arose with the angels to his eternal Heavenly home on Thursday of September 15, 2016. He took his great faith in Jesus Christ and love (given and gathered) with him to meet his loving Creator, God. He was born on November 2, 1927 in Western Pennsylvania to the late Mike and Mary Dobrosky, Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served his country after World War II. He was the beloved husband of Irene (Sperling), his wife of 68 years whom he married on June 26, 1948 at the Greek Byzantine Catholic Church in Sykesville, Pennsylvania. They had three daughters; Maureen and the twins Linette and Nanette. He loved Rene and his girls. Creative building was his life. He worked for Stebbins Engineering Company based in New York with extensive travel in the U.S. and Canada. He built his first home and Rene designed every detail. Later, he built a duplex house and a triplex house as rental property near the family home. After retirement, Michael and Rene moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and then Southport, North Carolina. They moved to Maryland to be closer to the daughters. Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania he was a Pittsburgh Steeler fan and was so happy when the Steelers won on Monday Night Football last week. Since moving to Frederick, he enjoyed eating at Mountaingate Family Restaurant in Thurmont, Md. His family was going to treat him with a special birthday dinner at Gladchuk Brothers Restaurant in Frederick, Md. This November. He loved homemade cinnamon rolls made by his family during the holidays. His parents, Mary and Mike, first born daughter Maureen Weber, preceded him in life passing. Michael is survived by his wife Rene, daughters, Linette and Nanette (all of Frederick, Md.), brother William Dobrosky and family of Fernandina Beach, Florida, son-in-law Richard Weber of Falling Waters, West Virginia and sister-in-law Pat and husband Ike Bearfield of Brockport, Pennsylvania. He was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Frederick, Md. The family would like to thank St. Katherine Drexel Eucharist Ministry and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Frederick for sharing the Holy Communion each week. We would like to thank the wonderful and compassionate caring of the entire Sunrise staff who took exceptional care of Michael. We would like to thank especially Dr. Hiren Shah (Primary Care Physician) and staff, Dr. John Vitarello (Heart) and staff, Dr. M. Mohiuddin and staff of Frederick Urology Associates and Dr. William Colliver (Dentist) and staff for their great care for Michael. Also, we would like to thank the Frederick County Fire and Rescue staff for excellent service, the Frederick Memorial Hospital doctors, staff and especially the nurses who are the heart of medical care. A special thanks to Jake, Speech Therapist for The Baker Group, Baker Group staff and Homecall. Michael had a special respect for Jake who was wonderful in his work. A private graveside interment service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, September 20th in the Garden of Memory II at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, Md. With Deacon Daniel Roff officiating. Arrangements are with Resthaven Funeral Service of Frederick who have been so amazing with their care, concern and kindness. The family will miss and love Michael every day and know they all will come together in God's Heavenly Home someday. He was the best husband and father in the world.
