Obituary
Mr. Meredith Raymond "Buzz" Beachley, 85, of Boonsboro, went Home to the Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Helen Irene Beachley, who passed on Feb. 10, 2002. Born in Middletown, Meredith was the son of the late Raymond and Pearl Beachley. He worked enthusiastically as a farmer and a mechanic his whole life; for many years at H.C. Summers, and with a partner at Pendley & Beachley Mechanical Services. Mr. Beachley could do anything and fix anything. He also enjoyed baseball, selling produce, and duckpin league bowling. In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Beachley was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Lee Beachley, and by a brother, Jim Beachley. He is survived by six children, William M. "Butch" Beachley (Edwina), Barbara Remsburg (James), Sharon Baugher, Beverly Tyler, Robert Beachley (Carolyn), and Kevin W. Beachley (Debbie); his special girlfriend Louise Burdette; his sister, Mae Bell; brothers Gene Beachley and Melvin Beachley; twelve grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 30th from 12 Noon - 2:00 PM in the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742. Mr. Beachley's extended family wish to express their gratitude to Butch, Edwina, and Sharon for the care they provided, and to Louise & Davey Burdette for always being there. A celebration of his life is planned for his next birthday, on Saturday, May 6th.
