Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Weddle, 94, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Meritus Medical Center of Hagerstown. Born on December 24, 1921 in Monrovia, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mary Ann (Dunn) Norwood. Mary was a graduate of Frederick High School then married Austin Hausler on January 1, 1942. She worked at Hartz for many years and at the Francis Scott Key American Legion Post #11 in Frederick prior to her retirement in 2001. Mary is survived by her sons, Wayne A. Hausler, Sr. and wife May and Larry A. Hausler, granddaughters, Lindsey Bernier and husband Jeff, Barbara Ann Thompson and husband Bob, Mary Ann Beard and husband Kerm and Paula Hausler, grandsons, Wayne A. Hausler, Jr. and wife Karen, Richard Lushbough and wife Terry, Jeffrey Lushbough and Ryan Lushbough, 12 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Austin A. Hausler in March of 1983 and second husband, Guy Elmore Weddle in November of 1997, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, daughter, Sandra Louise Lushbough in June of 1996, and granddaughter, Jessica Hausler. Mary lived at Charlotte's Home in Boonsboro for 1 1/2 years. Mary loved to see all the family come in for holidays, family gatherings, seeing everyone meant a lot to her. She loved her flower garden and was always around flowers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will begin at 12:00PM, on Thursday, May 26, 2016, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
