Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Stone Russell,75, of Jefferson, MD went home peacefully to the Lord on Sunday, December 24, 2017 with family by her side. She was a loving wife to the late John Wayne Russell who preceded her in death in 2014. Born in Frederick, MD on July 11, 1942 she was the daughter to the late Chester and Marjorie Buskey Stone. Mary was a member of the Brunswick Eagle's Auxiliary 1136. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She is survived by her children Nancy Paugh (Scott), Brenda, Larry, Donald and Jimmy Russell; four grandchildren Chris, Michael Steven Paugh and Krystle Russell; a sister Catherine Russell (Theodore); five brothers Henry, Howard, Luther, Harrison (Linda) John (Vickie) Stone. She was preceded in death by a grandson Eric Paugh; three sisters Betty Lou Schildt, Dorothy Mercer and Nina Foreman; three brothers Wilbur, Charles and Robert Stone. The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave, Brunswick on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, 4004 Ballenger Creek, Frederick, MD 21703 on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10AM where the family will receive friends one hour prior. Pastor Terri Driver-Bishop will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the family.
