Obituary
Mary Anna Kinkaid, age 91, of Woodsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday,
July 7, 2022 at Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy Maryland after a courageous battle with
Multiple Myeloma Cancer since September 2019. She was surrounded by her loving
family.
Born February 13, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late
Arthur and Annie Storck. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Robert
Kinkaid Jr. who died January 22, 2006.
Mary was a wonderful Mother and homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed sewing,
gardening and having beautiful flowers gardens. She enjoyed doing 10K walks and
accomplished a 10K walk in all 50 states and 51 capitals which she completed in Texas in
June 2009. She especially loved to travel including numerous cruises with her husband
Bob and her daughters. She loved to play bingo and to go shopping. Mary was the last
surviving member of her siblings.
Surviving are her daughters, Marylou Cavalier of Woodsboro, MD, Robin Rippeon and
husband Brian of Thurmont, MD, Karen Kinkaid of Lovettsville, VA, and Tricia Jansen of
Hatfield, PA; Grandchildren, Christopher Kinkaid and wife Bianca Rios, Matt, Tina and
Patrick Jansen; Great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Dominic Kinkaid, Anthony & Kyle
Jansen and Joshua & Nicholas Buckingham. She was predeceased by her son-in-law,
Raymond Cavalier Jr.
The family extends a special thank you to Frederick Health Hospice and the Kline
Hospice House staff for their excellent and compassionate care during her recent
months and to Dr. Bazzi & Team Bazzi for their excellent care of Mary since September
The family will receive friends at Mary's Celebration of Life at Resthaven Funeral Home,
9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, Maryland on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m.
It is Mary's request that no black be worn and that you come in bright, joyful colors and/or sparkle
to celebrate her life.
A Celebration of Life service for Mary will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Sean
DeLawder will officiate. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
