Mary Margaret Fouche's Obituary
Mary Margaret Fouche, 66, of Monrovia, Maryland, passed away suddenly on April 16, 2026, following a long battle with chronic health challenges. She was born on November 22, 1959, in Shirley, Massachusetts, to the late Ashley Fouche Sr. and Mary Helen (née Wiles) Fouche.
A devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Mary lived a life centered on family and quiet strength. She proudly served as a Montgomery County Police Officer, dedicating her career to protecting and serving her community. She married her loving husband, Joe Maley, on May 6, 2011; together they shared many happy years until his passing.
Mary faced her health difficulties with resilience and grace, prioritizing the well-being of those she loved.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Julie White of Providence, Rhode Island, and Katie Shive (husband Shawn) of Spring Grove, Pennsylvania; her two brothers, Ashley Fouche (wife Lisa) and Greg Fouche (wife Rachel); her two sisters, Karen Drury and Nancy Thrasher (husband Robin); her two granddaughters, Madison White and Molly White of Providence, Rhode Island; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Mary will be remembered for her warm smile, her love for her family, and the gentle way she cared for everyone around her. She found joy in simple pleasures— reading mystery novels and spending time with her granddaughters, who brought her endless happiness in her later years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. and burial afterwards at Resthaven Cemetery. There will also be a reception after the burial at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s memory to the American Heart Association or a charity supporting chronic illness research.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the caregivers and medical staff who supported Mary throughout her health journey.
