Mary Painter Curtis, of Knoxville, Maryland passed away on April 27, 2024.
Born September 9, 1942 in Staunton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Maida (Brown) Painter. Mary was a homemaker and she loved to take care of her family. She also loved her word search puzzle and taking long walks.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Clarence Brian Curtis; sons, Clarence Bryan Curtis and Rex Wayne Curtis; granddaughter, Kelly L. Curtis. She was also preceded by her siblings, brothers, Junior Painter, Bob Painter, Frank Painter, Doug Painter, Harve Painter and Glennwood Painter; sisters, Genevie Marrow, Jesse Harris, Janet McNeil, Colletta Betteker and Betty Morgan.
She is survived by one sister, Loretta Stokes of Craigsville, VA, daughter, Rita Blair and husband Arthur, her closest grandchild Coty Blair Lonaconing, MD, son, Thomas Curtis of Knoxville, MD and daughter, Becky Sarvela and husband Kent of Clarksville, TN. As well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
