Obituary
Marlys Pihlstrom Scribner, was born April 26, 1935, at the Swedish Hospital of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and passed from this life on July 19th, 2022. Her parents were Almond Juel and Eunice Lucille Pihlstrom. She had a sister, Elaine Bos, and brother Richard Pihlstrom. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert W. Scribner, children David and Karin Scribner, and grand children Haley Scribner, Brandon Scribner, Dennis McKeown, Jr., Erin McKeown, Liv and AJ Moody, and Everett Polzin. Marlys worked as a teacher at the Maryland School for the Deaf until her retirement in 2002. She was a strong woman who cherished her students and made a difference in many children’s lives. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time at her beach home near Assateague National Seashore.

(Please note that it is in Marlys Scribner's honor) to support Deaf students, as Marlys would have wanted. Her memorial service and a celebration of her life will be on Friday August 5th, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD 21707.
