Marlin Wayne Beans' Obituary
Marlin Wayne Beans, 86, of Frederick, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Kline Hospice House in https://Mt.Airy, MD.
Born in Baltimore, MD on September 8, 1939 he was the son of the late Harry and Clara Mae Beans. Marlin graduated from Frederick High School in 1957. He joined the MD Army National Guard and retired after 30 years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer. In 1960 Marlin married Jeannette Louise McKenzie, started his career with PEPCO and retired from the company after 35 years as a General Supervisor. Marlin was a member of the Edgewood Church of God where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School and serving as a Deacon and Elder. He enjoyed taking his wife and 3 sons on many family camping trips throughout the U.S. He and Jennette also enjoyed trips to Alaska, Europe, Mexico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He loved hunting and took several hunting trips out west.
Marlin is survived by sons, Michael Beans and wife Barbie; Stephen Beans; David Beans and wife Tonya; grandchildren, Matthew Beans, Emilee Beans and great-grandson Mason Beans. He is also survived by niece Dawn Mossburg and nephew Jeremy McKenzie and wife Amy.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on October 16, 2025 at Resthaven Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Entombment immediately following on the campus at Resthaven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Edgewood Church of God, 8204 Edgewood Church Road, Frederick, MD 21702.
