Marion (Bimmie) Lewis Abrecht, Jr. 52, of Woodsboro, MD, died suddenly on Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Kathy Kelly Abrecht for 21 years. Born January 31, 1966 in Frederick, MD he was the son of the late Marion L., Sr. and Mary E. (Main) Abrecht. Bimmie had worked in the construction industry for nearly 30 years and was currently a heavy equipment operator with Mulford Construction. He loved going to River Bend to camp with his brother-in-law and best friend, Kevin. He was an avid Broncos fan and had just attended a game on Christmas Eve with his wife, nephew and nephew's girlfriend. Bimmie loved all animals especially his four dogs; Oscar, Sammy, Bailey, and Bella. Above all else, the light of his life was his three month old step-granddaughter, Abigail. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his step-son, Jason Ray Dorsey and wife Katherine Anne Dorsey; step-granddaughter, Abigail Paige Dorsey; sister, Margaret E. Kelly and fiancAC. Kenneth James; niece, Lindsay M. Murphy and husband, Mark, great-nephew Trent Phelps; nephew, Richard H. Kelly, girlfriend Rebecca Reigle; and his brother-in-law, Kevin H. Kelly and wife, Dawn C. Kelly, and their son, Hayden H. Kelly. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 9th from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim May officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
