Marilyn Roberta Long passed away September 18, 2022 at Leland of Laurel Run Waynesboro, PA. She was the widow of the late Donald Joseph Long.
She was born September 26, 1932 in Thurmont, MD. She was the daughter of the late John P. and Elizabeth Weddle. She had a business degree, and did payroll for Thurmont Shoe Company. She did nursing at Homecall and Right at Home for many years. She was a member of Incarnation Church of Christ Emmitsburg, MD. She loved all her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Douglas Wayne Long and wife Terry of Emmitsburg, MD, Tara Elizabeth Myers and husband Terry of Fairfield, PA, Shelly Ann Long and friend Jim Grinder of Fairfield, PA, Kelly Jo Wantz and husband Thomas of Fairfield, PA; grandchildren, Steven Long and wife Jamie of Fairfield, Pa, Eric Long and companion Amber Andrew of Fairfield, PA, Thomas Drew Wantz and or Fairfield, PA, Ethan David Long of Thurmont, MD, Hannah Camille Emory and husband Andrew of Delaware; many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Gloria Clabaugh and husband Roy; children, Donna Jean Long, and Carla Denise Long, sisters-in-law Beulah Motter, Evelyn Rohrbaugh, Ethel Hoke, Doris Joy, Marie Long, and Dot Long; brothers-in-law, Leonard Long, and Thomas Hoke, and niece, Joyce Rohrbaugh.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday September 22, 2022 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mtn. Hwy. B Frederick, MD 21701.
Pallbearers will be Steve and Eric Long, Terry Myers, Andrew Emery, and Tom and Drew Wantz.
