Margaret Jane White (nee "Schaeffer")'s Obituary
Margaret (Maggie) Jane White, age 90, of 201 East Green St. and South High St., Funkstown, MD, passed away peacefully at 7:18 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at her home.
She was born on March 11, 1934, in Buckeystown, MD. She was the daughter of the late Wesley and Blanche Mae Schaeffer.
Margaret spent her younger years growing up in Buckeystown, MD. She attended grade school in Buckeystown and later graduated from Frederick High School in Frederick, MD, in 1952.
She was a member of the Buckeystown United Methodist Church in Buckeystown, MD.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is predeceased by seven brothers and three sisters. She is the last of her immediate family.
She is survived by her husband, James M. White, Jr., whom she married in 1956. She had one son, Martin S. White, who lives at home.
Margaret worked for the AT&T phone company for 35 years and retired in 1989.
Her closest living relative is a niece, Patsy Jones, of Baltimore, MD.
