Obituary
Mrs. Margaret "Jean" Toms, 91, of Thurmont, passed away peacefully at Glade Valley Care & Rehab center on October 29, 2016. She was the loving wife of Paul Toms, her husband of 72 years. Born in Frederick County, Jean was the daughter of the late Emory and Catherine Moser. She was a proud "Thurmont Girl" and she worked at Clair Frock for about 50 years. She loved crocheting, flowers, going to the beach, and most importantly taking care of her family. In addition to her loving husband, Jean is survived by three children, Paul "Skipper" Toms & wife Penny, Richard "Rick" Toms & wife Barb, Connie Hahn & husband Eddie; a sister, Helen May Wachter & husband Barb; a sister-in-law, Dimp Toms; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd from 6 - 8 PM at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick, where a funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday, Nov. 3rd. Interment will follow in the Garden of Christus at Resthaven. Pallbearers will be Mark Toms, Ryan Toms, Dustin Hahn, Robert Hahn, Brent Toms, and Mike Zimmerman. Floral tributes are welcome.
