Margaret Elizabeth Shilling, 88, of Sabillasville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 23, 2016, at St. Joseph's Ministries in Emmitsburg, MD. She was born in Virginia, 1928 to the late Easter Knupp and Joseph Coleman.Margaret was a member of Thurmont Church of the Brethren.She was employed at Claire Frock in Thurmont for 30 years until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester J. Shilling, the love of her life, and a brother, William Winston Coleman.Margaret is survived by one brother and four sisters; and five children, Gene and wife, Tammy, Patsy, Karen and husband, Denny, Cheryl, Mary and husband, Steve.Surviving are her grandchildren, Eddie, Angelique, Thomas, Kim, Matthew, Brandon and great- grandchildren, Andrew, Davont'e, and Caedence.Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont and one hour prior to services on Monday. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home in Thurmont with Linda Lambert and Joann Gaver officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Thurmont Church of the Brethren, 14 N.
