Margaret McCall Dommerich, age 104, a resident of Buckingham's Choice in Adamstown for the last 14 1/2 years and formerly of Greenwich, CT passed away on June 1, 2016. She was born in Evanston, IL on May 26, 1912, the daughter of the late Sumner T. and Charlotte Gardiner McCall of Greenwich. She married Alexander L. Dommerich Jr. on October 19, 1935 and they were married for 61 years. They lived in Greenwich and were members of the Greenwich Country Club and Riverside Yacht Club. Margaret did volunteer work at the Greenwich Hospital and helped with fund-raising for the "Community Chest Fund". She loved playing bridge, reading, sailing, traveling, dancing, conversation, politics, music, and decorating.Margaret was predeceased by her husband and her daughter, Wilhelmina D. Powell. She is survived by her son, Alexander L. Dommerich III (Janice) of Braddock Heights, MD; son-in-law, Robert Powell of W. Liberty, OH.; grandchildren: Charlotte Murdoch (John) of Hickory, NC, Robbie Dillon (Kim) of Buckingham, FL, Maria Hase of Phoenix, AZ and Amy Wilson (Trent) of Cranberry Township, PA; great-grandchildren: Zachary Palmer, Josh Palmer, Chance Dillon, Luke Hase, Taryn Wilson, Mac Wilson, Finley Wilson; and step great-grandchildren: Crystal Acevedo and Lauren Acevedo.She will be remembered at the 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM church services at Buckingham's Choice on Sunday, June 5, 2016. A memorial service (conducted by nephew, Rev. Roger Foote) will be held in late summer at the Dingletown Community Church in Greenwich, CT. The family is grateful for the wonderful care she received from the staff at Buckingham's Choice.
