Madeline Soloff Bernstein, 95, of Frederick passed away November 19, 2021.
Madeline was born May 22, 1926 in Chicago, IL to the late Julius and Mary (Marker) Soloff. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, and worked as a medical receptionist. She attended Indiana University. She was an active member of The Temple in Louisville, KY before moving to Frederick to be closer to her family. She enjoyed her mahjong, bridge, and canasta games with lifelong friends, and loved to knit and make things for her friends and their children.
In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvain Kaufman Bernstein, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Gober (Jack); sons, Henry (Jim Fennell), and James (Lynn Franklin); three grandchildren, Seth (Tanya Glakhova), Miranda (James Leddy), and Jonathan Gober; and one great grandchild, Teodor Glakhov. She was adored by her grandchildren. In her final years, the staff at Homewood of Frederick provided her with excellent care and companionship.
A committal service will be held 2pm Monday, November 22, 2021 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mtn Hwy (US 15 N) Frederick.
