Obituary
Mable Drucilla Cornett Guy, 88, of Mount Airy, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2015. She was a faithful member of Pioneer Baptist Church in Thurmont, MD. She was born on September 19, 1926 in Vilas, NC to Charlie and Lillie Millsaps Cornett. She was a loving wife and devoted mother. She was a long-standing member of Mountain Dale Missionary Baptist Church before moving to Maryland. Her heart was ever endeared to her upbringing and homeplace. Her faith in the Lord and her love for her family was foremost in her life. Her prayers and hugs will surely be missed until we are together again.She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Guy, and ten siblings. She is survived by four children, Jenny Royer, Ruby Roark, Wayne Guy and wife Betty, and Michael Guy and wife Daphne. Grandchildren Tammy Acton and husband Rick, Will Royer and wife Sandra, Eric Roark, Shane Roark and Barbara, Chad Guy and wife Mindy, Jason Guy and wife Jessica, Deborah Linthicum and husband Charles, Rachel Adra and husband Samer, Bethany Guy, Jonathan Guy and wife Lilly. Great-grandchildren Justin and Dylan Royer, Landon and Dexter Guy, Gracie, Charlie, Jude and Elisabeth Guy, Calvin, Jack and Glenn Linthicum, Benjamin, Silas, and Lily Adra.Viewing will be held at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Road, Libertytown, Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 11am. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Route 15N, Frederick, MD.
