Lynn McLean Murphy's Obituary
On Thursday May 11, 2023, Lynn McLean Murphy, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away. She was 84 and lived in Frederick, MD. Lynn was the daughter of John H. McLean and Lucile Chapman McLean of Washington DC, who are both deceased.
Surviving are two sons, Gary Tavel (Lynn) and David Tavel and two daughters, Cheryl Sally (Wally) and Sue Tavel (Diane). Grandchildren, Jayme Fletcher (Jeff), Casey Greenstreet (Matt), Leila Sally, Lindsey Tavel and Taylor Hollis. Great-grandmother, Braydin LaRocco, Maddie Fletcher, Harper Fletcher, Delaney Greenstreet, Wyatt Greenstreet, Jax Wingate, Jace Wingate and Adalee Wingate. Sisters, Janet Puckett (Richard) and Ann Gerstner, and a brother, John McLean (Margaret).
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an older sister Mary Lu McLean, daughter Cindy Michalski, granddaughter Kaitlyn Tavel and brother-in-law Paul (Joe) Gerstner.
She was a loving mother to her children. Lynn enjoyed family gatherings, especially her 80th birthday party, reading, puzzles and of course, BINGO a couple nights a week. She enjoyed sitting on the benches and visiting with her many friends at Taney Village Apartments.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
