Obituary
Lovell Wilson was born July 8, 1936 in Estaboga, AL to the late Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Wilson. He made his transistion on July 24, 2017. He was reared in Alabama and joined the military following high school. He met and married the late Mrs.Elnora Steele-Wilson in Dec 1956 and remained with her for 34 years until she passed away in 1990. From that union, four daughters were born, Renee (Aaron) Wade, Frederick, MD; Pamela Wilson, Frederick, MD; Cheryl (Michael) Harris, Richmond, VA; and Tammy (Reginald) McRae, Frederick, MD. In addition, he leaves four grandchildren, Monica McRae, Nicole Wade, Kevin McRae and Jasmine Wade. He also leaves two devoted sister-in- laws from this union, Rozelia Harris, Alabama and Mary Averhart, of Alabama who remained close to him until his death. Lovell Wilson, a widower, was remarried on June 5, 1993 to the late Mrs. Dottie Tallington-Wilson and remained with her for 8 years until she passed away in 2001. Their union joins her children to our family. She was the mother of Ken (Joy) Tallington, Georgia; Grady (Marissa) Tallington Frederick; Andrea (Ricardo) Leverett, Georgia and Charryse (Randy) Johnson, North Carolina. Dottie's grandchildren are Cameron, Kendra, Jacob, Jhaida, Andrey, Audriana and Abigail, Justin, Cordaro, Shandrea, Cierra and Randy. Lovell Wilson, a widower, was again remarried on March 6, 2004 to Mrs. Verna Brown-Wilson. Their union joined her children to our family. She is the mother of Timber Wylde (aka Tiffani Brown), Frederick, and Brittany (Matthew) Cavey; Frederick. From this union, he gained two more daughters and a son-in- law to take to his heart and love. Lovell's in-laws were Doris Surimi, Andrea Banks, Dale (Paul) Brown; Robert (Michelle) Parran; Delonda Bartens Perez, Satura Bridgewater and Che Parran. Lovell Wilson is survived by a brother and sister; Dorothy (Alvin) Winton, Missouri and Clarence (Sue) Wilson, Virginia. Lovell was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brothers Phillip Wilson, Gus Wilson, and William Wilson; and sisters Laura Boozer, Viola Lanier, and Mae Neil Orr. Lovell Wilson served honorably 26 active-duty years in the military services (Army & Air Force), and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. He later worked for Tektronix for about 14 years and retired. In 1996, Lovell was called into full time ministry. He has served God in many ways as a: Teacher, Elder, Deacon, Christian Education Director, a Board member of various organizations, a Bishop, and a certified counselor. May of 2011, God called Lovell and Verna to plant a church in Frederick, called New Hope Fellowship. Pastor Lovell preached and serve God in New Hope until he fell ill. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at the International Community Church of God, 123 Byte Drive in Frederick, MD. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the International Community Church of God, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
