Lorraine Elizabeth Lonaberger
On September 17, 2023, Heaven gained a beautiful angel, Lorraine Elizabeth Lonaberger 81 of Monrovia MD. Lorraine departed peacefully from complications of a long-term illness. Born on May 26, 1942, Lorraine Elizabeth McDonald aka “Poochie” of Strasburg, Virginia. She was the daughter of Eugene Sr. and Ruby McDonald of Strasburg, VA.
Lorraine leaves behind her loving husband of 49 years Edron Lonaberger Sr, daughter Theresa Horton (Mike) of Monrovia MD, daughter Tammy Torell of Virginia Beach, VA, son Kyle Lonaberger (Adrienne) of Germantown MD, stepson Edron Jr (Lisa) Orlando FL, and stepdaughter Cherie Mills (Dan) of Sykesville MD. Lorraine will be missed by her sisters Lenora Brown (Joe) of Winchester VA, Susie Woomer (Tom) of Jacksonville FL, Grace Baiardo (Don) of Manassas VA and brother Bud McDonald (Alice) of Morrison CO.
Lorraine loved all 7 of her grandchildren very much and she cherished her 3 great grandchildren who were very special to her and loved them dearly. Lorraine leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will all miss her very much. She will be deeply missed by her dog Ella who was her companion and protector.
Lorraine is predeceased by her parents Eugene & Ruby McDonald and brother Marshall.
Lorraine graduated from Strasburg High School in 1962, eventually moving to Gaithersburg MD to work for 30 years at Fawcett Haines Printing Co later named Holiday Tyler Printing. After retiring from the printing industry, she worked for ADT Security for 10 years in Gaithersburg MD.
Lorraine enjoyed camping, gardening, baking and watching football and she was a diehard Redskins Fan.
A Celebration of Life will occur on September 25, 2023, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick MD 21701. Pastor Lavoie will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers if you would like to make a donation to Gilchrist Hospice 11311 McCormick Rd. Ste. 350 Hunt Valley, MD 21031 or gilchristcares.org/donate.
