Loretta Stitely, 92, of Frederick, went Home to be with our loving Savior on February 17, 2015.Loretta was born on Sept. 20, 1922 in Union Bridge, MD. She was the daughter of the late Walter Earl Reaver & Deborah Romaine Bostion Reaver. She was married to the late Donald F. Stitely for 54 years. Together, they raised seven children. She attended Elmer Wolfe School in Union Bridge. In her earlier years, she volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, worked at Sagner's Clothing Factory, and as a waitress for Barbara Fritchie's restaurant.After retirement, Donald & Loretta moved to Palm Bay, FL, where they lived for 18 years. While in Florida, they both were very active with the Disabled American Veterans #135 and remained Life Members. They both served as Commander of the 10th District D.A.V. Loretta was a Lifetime Member of the V.F.W., and of NARFE #409. After Donald's death, Loretta moved back to Frederick, which enabled her to enjoy her children, her many grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.Loretta was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her first love was her family; she loved having get-togethers at her home with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.Loretta is survived by six of her children: Roy F. Stitely (Judy) of Westminster, MD, Edward Stitley (Mary) of Taneytown, MD, Joyce Thomas (William) of Hagerstown, MD, Janis Stottlemyer (Robert) of Thurmont, MD, Fred Stitely (Linda) of Walled Lake, MI, and Donna Nichols (Alan) of Frederick; daughter-in-law, Joyce Stitely of Arnot, PA; sister, Isabelle Graham; sisters-in-law Patsy Stitely, Delores Hossler, and Virginia Stitely; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19th from 7-9 PM at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 20th. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kline Hospice House, P.O.
