Linda May Delph's Obituary
Ms. Linda May Delph, 74, of Point of Rocks, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2023 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family.
Linda was born in Maryland on September 8, 1948. She attended Gaithersburg High School and worked at NIH as an animal caretaker and lab technician for many years until her retirement. She loved birds and her dogs, all her stuff, and her stuff's stuff, the things that grew on her stuff, but most of all she loved her family.
In addition to her parents, Edith and Claude James, Linda was preceded in death by her brother Roger, her brothers-in-law Charles and James, and her grandmother Nanny. She is survived by her life-long love, Charles; six children, Teddy, Johnny (Nikki), Sandra, Crystal (De), Ginger, Karen (Raf); stepsons, Toby (Kim) and Robbie; siblings Allen, Carolyn, Michael, Norma, Diane and Jeanie (and their respective significant others); thirty known grandchildren, at least 25 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives, and numerous others who also knew her as Mom or Grandma.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17 from 6 - 8 pm at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Community Center, 9501 B Catoctin Mtn Hwy. in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday March 18th. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens; floral tributes are welcome.
