Mr. Lewis L. Leatherman's Obituary
Mr. Lewis Lee Leatherman, 88, passed away unexpectedly on May 11th at Autumn Lake at Glade Valley Nursing Home, where he had resided for the past several months.
Born June 14, 1934 in Frederick, Maryland, he was the son of the late Anna Mull Leatherman and Lewis L. Leatherman.
Lewis served proudly in the Maryland National Guard and worked for Airpax/Price Electric for over 50 years, where he took trips to Mexico and Dominican Republic to set up equipment. He was a longtime member of the Grace Rocky Hill Church and helped with their Strawberry Festival for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed watching NASCAR, Football and meeting his friends at the Golden Corral on Sunday mornings.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia Northedge and husband Jack, and brother Edward “Butch” Leatherman and wife Mary along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Lewis was preceded in death by his twin brother, Lester L. Leatherman.
A viewing will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home & Community Center, 9501 B Catoctin Mountain hwy. in Frederick on Tuesday, May 16th from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
