Leslie Michelle Wood-Gouveia's Obituary
With heavy hearts, the family of Leslie Michelle Wood-Gouveia of Thurmont shares that she passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 59, following a courageous journey with metastatic breast cancer.
Michelle was predeceased by her husband, Clyde-Clifford "Moani" Gouveia, and leaves behind her parents, Leslie and Pamela; sister, Beverly (Thomas); fiancé, James; children, Rachel Jo, AshleyAnn (Darin), and Kaelen; and her five grandsons, Zhaeden, Legend, Brixcyn, Christcyn, and Kairin. Michelle's life was filled with love for her family, through whom her light and spirit endure.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at Frederick Health Hospital, who provided exceptional care and comfort during her final weeks.
