Leslie Adelina Alvarado's Obituary
Leslie Adelina Alvarado, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on May 3, 2026 in Frederick, MD. She was born on March 28, 1965, in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to Pedro Bautista and Evangelina Lopez, both of whom preceded her in death.
On January 19, 1991, she was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Julio Alvarado, in Guatemala City. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.
She earned a degree in Executive Bilingual Secretary in Guatemala and an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies and devoted much of her life to caring for others. She served as a homemaker, teacher, and administrator, and was deeply committed to her church and community. She served for several years at Fraternidad Cristiana de Guatemala, National Church of God, and Church of the Redeemer. Her hobbies reflected her generous and creative spirit - she found joy in serving at church, home renovation and décor, gardening, eating out, and spending cherished time with her three grandchildren. She also loved exploring new places and creating meaningful memories with her family.
Although words cannot fully capture all that she meant to those who knew and loved her, she will be remembered most for her deep love for her family, her unwavering faith, and the way she cared for everyone she met. Whether through her service in the church or by creating a warm and welcoming home, she left a lasting impact on countless lives.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Julio Alvarado; her loving daughters, Isabel and Julie; her sons-in-law, Roman (Francisco) and Jonathan; and her grandchildren, Alex, Roman, and Saint, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
The wake service is scheduled for Monday, May 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Church of the Redeemer, located at 19425 Woodfield Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20879. The funeral service will start immediately afterward at 11:00 AM. Everyone is welcome to join a reception in the Church of the Redeemer’s Commons from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM A private family burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.
The family is deeply grateful for the love and support shown during this time. She will be remembered for her faith, her love of family, and her joyful spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Leslie Adelina Alvarado, una querida esposa, madre y abuela, falleció el 3 de mayo de 2026 en Frederick, Maryland. Nació el 28 de marzo de 1965 en la Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala, hija de Pedro Bautista y Evangelina López, quienes la precedieron en su partida al cielo.
El 19 de enero de 1991, contrajo matrimonio con su querido esposo, Julio Alvarado, en la Ciudad de Guatemala. Juntos construyeron una vida centrada en la fe en Cristo Jesús, en la familia y en el amor.
Obtuvo un título de Secretaria Ejecutiva Bilingüe en Guatemala y un grado de Asociado en Estudios Bíblicos en National Church of God, en Maryland, y dedicó gran parte de su vida a cuidar de los demás. Desempeñó roles como ama de casa, profesora y administradora, y estuvo profundamente comprometida con su iglesia y su comunidad. Sirvió durante varios años en la Fraternidad Cristiana de Guatemala, National Church of God y Church of the Redeemer en Maryland. Sus aficiones reflejaban su espíritu generoso y creativo: encontraba alegría sirviendo en la iglesia, en la renovación y decoración del hogar, en la jardinería, en comer fuera y en compartir momentos entrañables con sus tres nietos. También le encantaba explorar nuevos lugares y crear recuerdos significativos con su familia.

La visitación tendrá lugar el lunes 11 de mayo de 2026, de 10:00 a 11:00 horas, en la Iglesia del Redentor, ubicada en 19425 Woodfield Rd, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20879. El servicio funerario comenzará inmediatamente después, a las 11:00 horas. Se invita a todos a acompañar en una recepción en el salón Commons de Church of the Redeemer, de 12:00 a 13:30 horas. Se realizará un entierro privado en el Cementerio Resthaven, en Frederick, Maryland.
