Knudtson, Larry's Obituary
Larry Duane Knudtson, age 91 of Frederick, MD passed away on July 31, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1935 to Anna and Maurice Knudtson.
Larry had a lifelong passion for bluegrass and country music and proudly performed with his local band for 30 years. He was an avid Washington Commanders fan. He was employed with Mitchell Construction where he worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. Larry was a US Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Irene Knudtson 35 years; his step son John Stowers and his partner Julie; step grandson Robbie Stowers and his girlfriend Kyle; step great granddaughter, Lila Stowers; his sisters Bernice Springer of North Dakota and Shirley and her husband Walley Fischell of Spokeshan, Washington, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm and Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 1:00 -2:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy., Frederick, MD 21701. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 2:00 pm with Bishop Owen officiating at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
