Kimberly Ann Bradshaw's Obituary
Kimberly Ann Bradshaw, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and faithful servant of Christ, went home to be with her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of July 18, 2025.
Kim was born in Charleston, West Virginia on April 6, 1955 and grew up in Pontiac, Michigan where she and Jim met as 15 year olds in the classroom at Pontiac Northern Highschool. She raised her family in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where she was a devoted wife to James (Jim) Russell Bradshaw for 49 years. She is survived by her mother, Mitzi Lou Burgher, sister Sarah Yearout, brother David Burgher, and her three sons: Michael David Bradshaw (Janelle Mahaney Bradshaw), John David Bradshaw (Dawn Michelle Bradshaw), and Paul David Bradshaw (Andrea Bradshaw). Kim leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her nine grandchildren, who were the joy of her heart.
Kim had a unique and tender devotion to her grandchildren. She loved nothing more than spending time with them—doing crafts, reading stories, and especially baking. She passed on treasured family recipes and memories through cookies like “Santa’s Whiskers” and peanut butter blossoms, lovingly baked side by side in her kitchen. Easter gatherings in Roanoke, Virginia were among the most cherished family traditions, filled with joy, faith, and generations coming together in celebration.
Kim’s life was marked by deep and steadfast faith, expressed through a lifelong commitment to serving others. She was a dedicated member and volunteer leader in the Children’s Ministry at Covenant Life Church, where she joyfully shared the love of Christ with young hearts for many years. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Kim was equipped to pour her passion for teaching and nurturing into the lives of children both in the classroom and in her community. As an early elementary school teacher, she brought warmth, patience, and creativity to her work—leaving a lasting impact.
A service to honor Kim’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Frederick, Maryland. A viewing will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM, and a graveside service at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of other gestures, the family welcomes flowers to be sent to Resthaven Funeral Home in Frederick, Maryland (9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701), as a way to honor Kim and the life she lived so faithfully.
For those unable to attend in person, the family will provide an online viewing option to honor Kim’s life from afar. Details will be shared through Resthaven Funeral Home’s website.
