Kiana Sue Blickenstaff-Ramos' Obituary
Kiana Sue Daugherty Blickenstaff-Ramos, 26 passed away on January 3, 2023, in Westminster, MD. Born in Frederick, MD on August 12, 1996, she was the daughter of John Theodore Daugherty and Donna Sue Daugherty. She is survived by her children Liam Russell and Izana Sue, both of whom she loved dearly. She will be missed greatly by her father John Daugherty, stepmother Kimberly Daugherty, sisters Shelby Ranalli and Morgan Ranalli, grandmother Joan Daugherty, niece Ryleigh Rae Cameron and Cousin Bridgette Heeter. She is also fondly remembered by close friends Fleet and Jennifer Korrell, Daniel, Veronica & Alexis Piasecki, along with numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Donna, her beloved grandparents Charles Russell and Suzanne Q. Warren, husband Blaec Blickenstaff-Ramos and close friend Paul Ray Wisner, who also provided Kiana many years of love and support.
In addition to being a beloved daughter, sister and mother, she was also an accomplished guitar player, starting at nine years old and performing on stage on her 11th birthday with her father's band. As a tribute to her mother's battle with breast cancer she co-chaired the charity team Chasing Butterflies for over five years raising thousands of dollars for Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Kiana pursued a career as a beautician, attending the Washington County Career and Technical Education Center (VoTech) graduating with her license in Cosmetology in 2014. At the time of passing, she was employed by Rhoten’s Barbershop in Westminster, MD and remembered fondly by her coworkers.
A final service for relatives and friends will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Celebration Center located at 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701. Kiana will be laid to rest with her mother and grandparents in a private service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.
A benefit to assist with her final expenses, including a trust fund for her children is being planned for a February timeframe. Details will be shared via social media.
