Kenneth Lee Korrell, known as ZEKE, 83, of Frederick MD passed away at home on Sunday, July 10th. He was the loving husband of Patsy for 64 years. Born in Frederick on January 24, 1933 to the late Jesse and Nora May Blank Korrell, Zeke was active in the sport of boxing in his youth, known to many as "Rocky" KORRELL. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Tanker. Afterwards he was a self-employed Mason for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Many friends referred to him as the "Mountain Man". He also was one of the first in Maryland to cultivate wild ginseng in 1973. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son; Burt Allen Korrell. Daughter; Rose Marie Korrell Birch and husband Joseph. Granddaughters; Kelli Marie Korrell Fisher, Kate Lynn Korrell Kline and husband Ron, and Kaci Rae Korrell Ross and husband Josh. Great-grandchildren; Caroline Hope Fisher, Hailey Marie Fisher, Gavin Korrell Kline, Khloe Autumn Kline, and Briar Allen Ross. Step-granddaughter; Chelsea Birch and daughter Sadi. Good friend Bo. And his dog Buster. There will be a gathering to Celebrate Zeke's life on Thursday, July 14th from 7-9 PM at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, Maryland.
