Obituary
Mr. Kenneth Herbert Day, Jr., 64, of Falling Waters, WV and formerly of Mt. Airy, MD, passed away on May 19, 2015 in Martinsburg, WV. He was the husband of Sheila Hair-Day, his wife of 33 years. Born April 1, 1951, he was the son of the late Kenneth H., Sr. and Martha Day. Kenny enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 18 and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1971. He graduated from culinary school and worked as an executive chef, and sold cars for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Robert Day, and a sister, Sherri Deanna Day. In addition to his loving wife, Sheila, Kenny is survived by their three daughters, Katie Day, Beckey Day, and Casey Day; his sisters, Pauline Bethea and Cindy McGrew; his brothers, Paul Wilson and Ted Day; granddaughters, Sage and Ayvreigh; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by a daughter, Terri Stilwell and her three children, and a son, Chistopher Day and his child. He will be remembered by two special nephews, Shawn McGrew and Jamie Elliott, and his best friends, Billy and A.J. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, May 23rd at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick.
