Welcome to LipscombLand!I am always inspired by the words of the late Rita Pierson.“Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.”I passionately celebrate the champions who make an impact on my children. I see their hard work, their belief and their dedication -every single day. It’s inspiring, it’s unforgettable and it’s their legacy. Nate and Liam had a champion. His name was Mr. Lipscomb. His classroom was called-LipscombLand. He was really cool and often the subject of dinner-table talk. The stories, animated by the boys, left us laughing, imagining, and feeling good. It is a great feeling to know that the boys are building character through this teacher-this character-Mr. Lipscomb. I had the privilege of taking a leadership course at Hood College with the famous Mr. Lipscomb. He had a quiet presence, but man, when he said something-it was powerful. His word-choice was purposeful and you could sense that his passion was fueled by his belief in students. Thank you, Mr. Lipscomb. Your kids knew that LipscombLand was a great place to be!Liam: My best memory is how he would say hi to everyone in the hallways saying things like howdy buckaroo and stuff of the sort. He was just such a happy guy.Nate: On Friday’s we would scream loudly...”It’s Friday!” My best memory is probably that he actually put an effort in to make our class fun and engaging. He always was in a good mood, and put our class in a good mood when we came in. He fostered an interest in the subject for me and made my day that much brighter. I’m just so sad that he’s gone.Sam: I saw him and he seemed really nice
I am very sorry for the loss of Keith. He was a gentleman.
Memories of you will live forever in my heart and I will take them out often to enjoy. I have loved you since the day you were born and have always been so proud of you. We will meet again one day in the clouds of glory. Until then rest in peace, dear brother. You certainly deserve it.
