Kaylan Tyler Morgan's Obituary
Obituary
On Monday September 19, 2022 Kaylan Tyler Morgan passed away at home due to complications from Type 1 diabetes. Kaylan was born on May 6, 1987 in Frederick Maryland.
Kaylan was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and avid Volkswagen enthusiast. He graduated from Middletown High School in 2005 and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He since worked in several automotive repair positions around the area. He was a funny, goofy, stubborn man. Kaylan consistently went out of his way to help others and would give you the shirt off his back. A child at heart, Kaylan loved cars and his country. He also enjoyed playing Magic the Gathering, Xbox, RC cars, building Lego and model cars. He loved children and animals and had a long-time service dog, Jake and had recently adopted two “ninja kitties” from the local animal shelter.
Kaylan is predeceased by his mother, Tina Walser Morgan and his father, Clayton E. Morgan. As well as grandfathers Billy F. Walser and William E. Morgan.
Kaylan is deeply missed by his sister, Shana O’Brien Moorefield and her wife Trinette Moorefield; brother Kamren Morgan and his partner Morgan Moore; nephew Jaxson Morgan and stepson Michael Ward. He also leaves behind his beloved Grandmother Bertha Morgan; Aunts Kristi Morgan Stevenson (and husband Ben); and Bev Walser (and husband Bill); Uncles Greg Morgan and Steven Morgan (and wife Bridgette), as well as numerous cousins.
It’s a uniquely sad and difficult task to write the obituary of someone so young, who should have had so much life left ahead of him. Kaylan spent life searching for (and finding in so many ways) a community. The family wishes to thank everyone who loved Kaylan and was part of his community in some way. Special thanks to the Volkswagen and car communities, where he had many friends, including best friend Emre Sen. The deep pain we feel because of his loss is a testament to the love we hold for him. The phrase “this too shall pass” was important to Kaylan throughout his life but the love we have for him truly shall never pass.
Friends and family may visit on Thursday September 29, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 9501-B Catoctin Mountain Hwy.
