Kathleen Margaret Hall's Obituary
Kathleen Margaret “Peggy” Hall, 93, of Falling Waters, WV finished her life’s journey peacefully on July 16.
Peggy was born and raised within a farming community in the Frederick area. As a young adult she enjoyed square dancing, singing, playing the piccolo and piano. After attending Strayer College, she worked at a local bank and was later employed at Fort Detrick as a secretary.
Kathleen married, returned to farming life, and raised her family. Seven children later, she re-entered the work force, this time as Director of the Community Action Agency in Frederick.
Many years after her divorce, Florida became Peggy’s home for several years in the 1990’s. While working for Community Bank of Charlotte she became ill and returned to Maryland. She worked for and retired from Citicorp in Hagerstown. While employed there, she moved to Falling Waters, WV. This was her last residence, living there for over 30 years.
Peggy was proud to be a progressive woman in her day!
Kathleen is survived by six children and their spouses, Sharon Mathews, Brad Hall (Faye), Kerry Hall (Michelle), Kathy Lyons (John), Christopher Hall, Stephen Hall (Ligia) and son-in-law Tom Metheny. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Suzanne E. Metheny (Sept. 2025). She had nine siblings, four of whom survive her: Patricia Meunier, Thaddeus Moore, Ora Gaver and Delia Colby. As well as twenty-six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held at 1 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 28, at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701. Interment will be Private.
