Katherine Elizabeth Young's Obituary
Katherine Elizabeth Young, age 99, passed away peacefully in Frederick, Maryland on May 13, 2023.
Born January 4, 1924, Daughter of the late Leslie and Margaret Wachter. She married George W. Young in 1942 whom later passed in 1974. Katherine was a member of the Pythian Sisters and attended First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Amazing Grace Class. Katherine was a loving Mother and wonderful person, who will be greatly missed.
Katherine is survived by seven children, Connie, Bonnie (Butch), Sandra, Robinn (Paul), George, Terrie (Bernie) and Daphne (Rich); seven grandchildren, Julie, Laura, Charity, Tennille, Justin, Shane and Brian; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Virgie (Jim), Judy (Jerry), and Edna and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by brothers, Edward and Eugene; son in law, William.
Services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 12pm at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick MD 21701 at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of Katherine Young to First Baptist Church of Frederick, 7040 Bowers Rd, Frederick Md 21702, or to Hospice of Frederick County.
