Karen Ann Howell's Obituary
Karen Ann Kauffman-Howell 62 of Frederick, MD passed away on Saturday December 9, 2023. She was the partner and wife of Jon Wagner for 38 years. Karen was born on Saturday February 18, 1961 in Bethesda, MD to Raymond and June Kauffman.
Karen was a gifted giver and a shining example of selflessness. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She would move heaven and earth for them as well as anyone in her family, anyone she crossed paths with, knew of her giving heart. Karen was a mother and grandmother figure to many in the area.
Karen enjoyed feeding her squirrels, blue jays and cardinals. She enjoyed her summer visits to the OBX watching the sunrise on the beach and shell hunting. She loved watching football and cheering on her Pittsburgh Steelers. She also enjoyed cruising in her Mini Cooper singing along to her favorite tunes. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, that was the giver in her.
Karen is survived by her beloved children Jeff Kauffman (Angie), Nicole Fogle (Ryan). Her beloved grandchildren Jesse, Loran, Jasper, Jacob and Justice. Her sisters Pam Jenkins (Kirk) Kim Routzhan (Jeff) and brother David Kauffman. Her Nieces and Nephews Amanda, Jennifer, Samantha, Emileigh, Travis, Harleigh and Garrett.
She is preceded in death by her father Raymond Kauffman and her special furry friend Ally.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
