Juana Isabel Aragón Aragón's Obituary
Juana Isabel Aragón Aragón, a woman who had lived to see several generations of her family, has sadly passed away on January 30th, 2026 in Maryland, having lived for 91 years.
Isabel is survived by her eight children, twelve grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her father, Fermin Perlas; and her mother, Fortunata Aragón.
Isabel was born on January 10, 1935 in the Juntas Pococi Puerto Limón in Costa Rica to Fermin Perlas and Fortunata Aragón. She would live most of her life there until moving to the United States and living with her daughters for the next nine years.
Isabel was a beloved member of the family, loving every last one of them equally, so much so that she was an anchor to them all, with her grandchildren and great grandchildren calling her Mami Isa. She was also a strong woman of faith, to a point where the best Bible verse to describe her is 2 Timothy 4:7 (“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”).
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026 in the Catoctin Chapel at Resthaven Frederick, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy
Frederick, MD, United States). The viewing will take place before the ceremony, followed by the burial.
